Direct Support Professional (DSP)
A Great Opportunity/ $16.00 - $17.50 per hour / Full Time or Part Time / All shifts available
At First Step Healthcare, we're looking for caregivers who can:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety needs are met.
Supervise, teach, and assist individuals with various aspects of their lives.
Complete household tasks such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
Provide personal care assistance.
To be eligible for this position, you should have:
A minimum age of 18 years.
A high school diploma or GED.
A personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
A valid driver's license and car insurance.
The physical ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
We are seeking caregivers who preferably have experience working in Autistic Support, especially with individuals who are non-verbal or have limited means of communication. Additionally, we value candidates who have education or experience in Human Development/Behavior, Communication, Special Education, or related fields.
